Warstorm provides new players with two squads as part of the registration process, which contain only Human and Elf cards from the Novice Set. The two initial squads are always the same.
Beyond the initial Starter packs, you can also buy packs in the Shop.
Card packs follow the normal rules of rarity.
The different types of booster packs are as follows:
Mercenaries Expansion Pack[]
Mercenaries Expansion Packs contain six random cards from the Mercenaries Set. The cards will be from the Orc, Human, Elf, Undead, Demon, and Neutral factions, including Heroes, Units, Spells, and Artifacts. These packs are sold for 5 Warstorm Cash. They can not be bought with silver.
Monsters Expansion Pack[]
Monsters Expansion Packs contain six random cards from the Monsters Set. The cards will be from the Orc, Human, Elf, Undead, Demon, and Neutral factions, including Heroes, Units, Spells, and Artifacts. These packs are sold for 6 Warstorm Cash. They can not be bought with silver.
Faction Packs[]
Faction Packs can be purchased from the Shop, and include six random cards from the Expert Set. Each Pack contains six random cards, from the specified Faction and possibly neutral cards.
- Elf Faction Pack - 5000 Silver, 2 Warstorm Cash.
- Human Faction Pack - 12,500 Silver, 5 Warstorm Cash.
- Demon Faction Pack - 12,500 Silver, 5 Warstorm Cash.
- Orc Faction Pack - 12,500 Silver, 5 Warstorm Cash.
- Undead Faction Pack - 12,500 Silver, 5 Warstorm Cash.
Squads[]
Another type of pack is called Squads. Two squads are free at registration, can not be purchased, and come from the novice set:
- Lord General Pozak's initial squad.
- Blademaster Wilaren's initial squad.
The other squads are found in the shop. Squads can be purchased multiple times for silver or cash.
Four of the squads are from the Expert Set:

Other Card Sources[]
Campaign Bundles, Mission Rewards, Free gift of the day, Ask for a card, Reward Cards, Send to Friend and Single Cards (sold in the Shop) are sources of additional cards but are not packs. Cards from the Goody Bag Set and the Achievement Set are not availible in packs.
